Nordic Spruce.

Fastening System (Exact Recommendation)

  • Fastener type: Self-drilling exterior screws suitable for the substructure (timber or aluminium)
  • Material: Minimum AISI 304 / A2 stainless steel
  • Screw length: Minimum 2x cladding thickness (for 20 mm cladding: ≥ 40 mm)
  • Hidden Fixing (HF) placement: Use one fixing at each cladding/subframe intersection, installed from the hidden fixing groove
  • Angle: Fixings should angle towards the centre of the board to properly seat the groove edge
  • Pre-drilling: Pre-drill and countersink to reduce cracking (pilot diameter: 0.5Ø to 0.8Ø, where Ø = screw diameter). Pre-drilling is required when the fixing point is < 50 mm from the end of the board
  • Finish: Fix to correct depth with screw heads flush to reduce splitting, staining, and moisture traps
