Size
20 mm x 142 mm (1x6). Lengths: 3.6 m to 5.1 m.
Species
Nordic Spruce.
Class
LunaThermo-D.
Surface
Planed.
Performance
Dimensionally stable, durable in all climates, resin-free in high temperatures, and 100% chemical-free. Low maintenance when installed according to Lunawood instructions. Fastening System (Exact Recommendation)
- Primary fixing (Hidden Fixing): Use stainless steel nails, installed above the V-groove (one fixing at each support batten intersection).
- Starting row: A starting clip can be used on the first row.
- Recommended support spacing: 600 mm.
- Board joints: Use a 30° scarf joint and keep the joint area at least 50 mm away from the nearest support battens on both sides.
- Fastener depth: Fasten nails/screws to the correct depth to avoid surface damage.
When Screws Are Needed (Starter/Finishing Boards, Trims, Repairs)
- Screws: Exterior-grade stainless steel self-drilling screws, minimum AISI 304 (A2).
- Screw length: Greater than 2x the cladding thickness (for 20 mm cladding: minimum 40 mm).
- Pre-drilling: Pre-drill when the fixing point is less than 70 mm from the end of the board (pilot diameter: 0.5Ø to 0.8Ø, where Ø is screw diameter).
