APPLICATION
Engineered to consistently drive screws to the perfect depth – flush or below the work surface – every time. Adjustable and easy-to-use for decks, drywall, and general construction. Compatible with Phillips® and Torx® bits, this tool is designed for Starborn® fasteners and other screw products.

FEATURES

  • Achieve perfect screw depth every time.
  • Locking collars enable you to set the screw depth and secure the desired setting for consistent installation.
  • Auto-Stop™ mechanism drives the screw to the desired depth without damaging the screw recess.
  • Free-spinning stop collar prevents marring of the board surface.

PROPER USE

  • Use a standard drill. Do not use an impact driver.
  • Drill straight and steady.
  • The screw is driven when the Auto-Stop™ mechanism fully engages (making a “click” in most materials).
  • Twice as fast as standard plug-cutting bits.

REPLACING BITS

  • Disconnect power and remove the SMART-BIT® Depth Setter from the drill.
  • Fully retract the SMART-BIT® Depth Setter collar and remove the bit using pliers.
  • With the collar still retracted, insert a new bit. Tip: Slightly twist the bit when inserting.
